A Curious Life

“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.”~Albert Einstein

I think we all start off pretty much the same.
We question all kinds of simple things like, "Why does rain fall from the sky?" or, "What do mud pies taste like?"
We question everything when we are small. It is our nature to do so.
Then some where along the way, we become so very sure of the way things are,we simply stop asking questions.

We're told by our parents, our friends, our societies about the way things are. We may find this comforting, but it also takes away our own thoughts about the way things could be.
A questioning mind is an active and healthy mind, and a society of questioning minds is capable of continual renewal and growth.
Simply accepting the way things are, is the acceptance of old broken things for the sake of half remembered traditions that no longer hold meaning.

We must be vigilant against decay, and live a curious life. It doesn't take any special courage to do so. It is already within our grasp. We were born with the tools to wonder, and discover, and to change our minds about the way things are.

We can make things the way we hope them to be.
